Frequently Asked Questions
What is a health AI?
A health AI is an artificial intelligence system designed to help people understand health information — lab results, symptoms, medications, supplements, and nutrition. Mother Nature AI uses domain-specific models trained on peer-reviewed medical literature, integrates with Apple Health, Oura, Whoop, Garmin, Fitbit, and MyChart, and is free to use with no account required for core tools.
Is Mother Nature AI free to use?
Yes. The core experience — condition library, supplement library, drug-interaction checker, lab result explainer, and chat — is free with no account required and no credit card.
Can health AI replace a doctor?
No. Health AI provides educational information and helps you understand your health data, but it does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider.
What health topics can I ask about?
Lab results, medications, supplements, drug interactions, symptoms, nutrition, mental health, sleep, stress, and over 300 health conditions. Mother Nature AI covers general health, mental wellness, and nutrition through three specialized AI models.
Does Mother Nature AI use AI face scan vitals?
Not yet. Camera-based face scanning (rPPG) is promising for heart rate, HRV, respiratory rate, and atrial fibrillation screening — but is not yet validated to clinical standards for blood pressure, glucose, or the '40+ vitals' some apps advertise from a 15-second selfie. We use contact-based wearable data from Apple Watch, Oura, Whoop, Garmin, Fitbit, and our own VitalIQ wearable for continuous vital monitoring, and will add face scanning when peer-reviewed evidence catches up to the marketing.
Can an AI face scan measure blood pressure or glucose?
Not reliably. No smartphone-only face-scan system has been validated to ISO 81060-2 (the standard medical-grade cuffs must pass), and independent reviews of face-scan glucose estimates report around 66% accuracy — far below the ~90% required by FDA-cleared continuous glucose monitors. We break down the full science in the article linked below.
